Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) is a pandemic unemployment program that could retroactively pay you an extra $100/week for weeks you claimed between Dec. 27, 2020, and Sept. 4, 2021.
Eligible drivers could receive up to $3,600 extra. Uber and Lyft drivers may be eligible if you also worked as a taxi driver, limo driver, shuttle express, or any other form of self-employment (not including Uber and Lyft). Learn more here.
IRC CEO Microenterprise Loan Program
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) makes loans available to small business owners, including Uber and Lyft drivers, at low or no interest.
The IRC’s CEO microenterprise loan program provides zero interest loans of up to $10,000 and low interest loans from $10,000 to $50,000. To be eligible for these loans, borrowers must complete a business plan, with assistance provide by IRC councilors. Borrows must also enroll in a free IRC microenterprise program.
